Major Calibration System Upgrade for No. 4 Defense Contractor

SANTA MONICA, California – AssetSmart announces receipt of an award from a large defense contractor for upgrade of the SMART/CMS Calibration Management System to Release 3.7 which is a web-based environment from a former mainframe platform. Interestingly, SMART/CMS had been running flawlessly on IBM mainframes for some twenty years. However, modern features such as web-based architecture, relational database, and lower cost of operation were key drivers for this strategic decision. SMART/CMS runs on both Oracle and SQL Server data base platforms.
