Christopher Campbell, President and CEO

Christopher J. Campbell's broad background includes more than thirty years of hands-on software engineering and support experience, in addition to management consulting and financial analysis expertise.  He has held key roles with AssetSmart for more than twenty-five years and became the company's President and CEO in 2000.  He now oversees all aspects of the company's day-to-day operations from the Calabasas, CA headquarters.

Mr. Campbell has helped to steer the technology direction of several generations of AssetSmart solutions across mainframe, mini-computer, client/server and web-based environments. He first web-enabled the product in 1995, long before most business applications had adopted web technologies.  Leveraging his intimate functional knowledge of the AssetSmart product line and its underlying asset management business processes and functionality, he has personally supported dozens of successful projects in pre-sales and post-sales roles for organizations including Boeing, General Dynamics, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Exelis, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.

Mr. Campbell was a co-creator of an innovative internet exchange site and buyer/seller matchmaker service for used technology equipment and was involved in all aspects of this new venture from design concept through business plan formulation, fundraising, software development, and product launch.  He is also a co-inventor of the Asset Management 360 business model, a unique vision of asset management addressing accountability and compliance requirements as well as optimizing the utilization and financial performance of the organization's asset portfolio. Asset Management 360 leverages the breadth and depth of the AssetSmart product line in covering the entire asset life-cycle from capital planning through resale or disposal, and automating a wide-range of business activities across functional disciplines, equipment categories, and locations.

Mr. Campbell earned a BA in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California San Diego and has completed various continuing education courses at UCLA and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
